Karsten Brink - Eva Extravaganza (Foxy Fighters)
Back in 2004, I had an idea for an serial webcomic about two female private investigators (the Foxy Fighters) who rescue a military cyborg from the evil hands of The Corporation (yes, that was its name). I never got beyond drawing the intro sequence, but the characters still linger in the idea basement of my mind.
Karsten Brink - Akira
I read my first pages of Akira back in the mid-90s, when Carlsen published the German colour edition. But those books were damn expensive, so I had to wait a few years until I could buy the b&w edition. Since then, Akira has always been my favourite comic. And although it mostly deals with Kaneda and Tetsuo, the silent, shy, friendly, and all-powerful title character is my favourite character of my favourite comic.
Weyland Industries - David 8 (Happy Birthday, David)
Even if the film turns out to not live up to it, the hype alone is great entertainment.
